His research interests encompass measuring impact and assessing value in the digital domain, digital asset management, digitisation and imaging.<\/p>\n<p>His\u00a0particular research focuses upon:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The value and impact of the digital domain<\/li>\n<li>Digitisation and digital cultures<\/li>\n<li>Economic, social and cultural informatics<\/li>\n<li>Open Access and Open Content<\/li>\n<li>Sustainability and economic viability for digital collections in memory institutions such as libraries, archives and museums.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>His\u00a0areas of research with the strongest international impact are, first, the economic realities and Open Access\/Content strategies for digital content in cultural heritage and second, the <a href=\"https:\/\/kclpure.kcl.ac.uk\/portal\/files\/5675881\/BalancedValueImpactModel_SimonTanner_October2012.pdf\">Balanced Value Impact Model<\/a>.
